Cossitt Library Renovations

Project consists of: the renovation of two floors and the exterior courtyard for the Cossitt Library, the installation of TPO single-ply roof system to the existing roof membrane on the mid-century modern building and the replacement of the existing heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system to include the steam boiler and heat exchanger, hot water pumps, chillers, cooling tower, chilled water pumps, condenser water pump and central plant control system. The work also includes demolition, earthwork and drainage, landscaping, concrete, carpentry/millwork, doors, frames, acoustical ceiling, acoustical walls, drywall assemblies, carpet tile, performance area furnishings and finishes, toilet partitions, painting, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, an accordion folding fire door system and an American with Disability Act (ADA) compliant accessible entrance to the exterior courtyard.

Sealed bids/proposals will be received at the Memphis River Parks Partnership, Suite 960, 22 North Front Street, TN 38103, until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2019 for furnishing the Memphis River Parks Partnership with the construction of the Cossitt Library Renovations.

The Offeror has the option of providing the non-pricing information as required by Section 00010
separately. Notwithstanding, this non-pricing information shall be provided to the Memphis River
Parks Partnership, Suite 960, 22 North Front Street, TN 38103, no later than 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2019.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 27, 2019 at project site located at 33 South Front Street, Memphis, Tennessee 38103. However, failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference will count against said “good faith effort” as required by the Minority and Women Business Enterprises (M/WBE) program in this purchasing effort.

One (1) complete set of bidding documents, drawings, and specifications may be obtained upon deposit of $250.00 from Memphis Reprographics (901-590-4862 or orders@memphisreprographics.com) which amount is refundable to all contractors submitting a bona fide bid upon return of all contract documents complete and in the order issued. However, deposits of successful bidders will not be returned. Checks shall be made out to the “Pickering Firm”.

All questions regarding the project must be submitted to the Consultant by Monday, October 21, by 5:00 p.m., unless an addendum delays the receipt of said questions.
